Stevie on Sesame Street

Don't know if you've seen this, but it's a vid of Stevie Wonder performing on Sesame Street in 1972. The band are killing it! A young Anthony Jackson is on bass and sounding ridiculous. To be honest I'm not sure who the drummer is, but I think it's James Gadson (??).

Anyway, enjoy it. It's the funniest, happiest tune and you gotta love that vocoder!!

EDIT: I have been informed that it's in fact Nathan Watts on bass and Raymond Pounds on kit.

Very Cool.... It almost looks like Steve Ferrone on drums..... Man, Anthony was a monster. What year did he leave Buddy's band?

Well, dennis davis played with stevie on a few albums, but I'm not sure if it's him.

thanks for the stevie clip, i hadn't seen it. i do recognize steve madeo on trumpet. i played with him in l.a. when i arranged horns on sara hickman and william's brothers albums! i also had stevie round to my house in cricklewood when 'i just called to say i love you' was at number one in the british charts!! ( ask me about it on monday ).
